Brand Services Goes Paper-Free with Field ID Inspection Software
Toronto, Ontario - May 15, 2012 - Brand Services, a leader in passive fire protection and safety services, has selected Field ID to implement a paper-free, world-class inspection software system and reporting for hundreds of customers in the healthcare industry. Brand Services will use Field ID's inspection management system to help streamline documentation processes for the installation and maintenance of passive fire protection and safety systems.
More than 30 Brand Services inspectors will now use mobile devices and web-based cloud technology to automate processes and reporting for NFPA 101 Life Safety Code inspections, repairs and maintenance at healthcare facilities. Brand Services technicians will then combine the electronic field data with the company's own Brand ID Tracker system and an engineer will plot comprehensive life safety prints for customers to complement reports.

Mobile devices and Field ID will first be deployed to replace pen-and-paper-based inspections throughout Brand Services headquarters in Connecticut. The company plans to deploy Field ID across its other locations within three months, to cover its expanding service area, which includes: New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C., Delaware, Virginia, and Ohio.
Previously, Brand Services inspectors performed complex 20-point inspections using clipboards, pens and paper. The new system eliminates the need for data entry and allows Brand Services to process findings in real time, electronically, and compile customized inspection reports for items such as fire/smoke dampers, fire door, fire barriers, etc. Brand Services customers can quickly and easily sort inspection data and customize reports according to their needs. Brand Services has offered an online reporting feature for many years, but with the new documentation system will allow each customer to be invited by email for access to their reports at any time.
